Police concerned for missing man at Brooklyn

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a man missing from Sydney’s north.

Stephen South, aged 52, was last seen about 8.30am yesterday (Saturday May 8), at his workplace on Kowan Road, Mooney Mooney.

Officers from Kuring-Gai Police Area Command were notified of his disappearance after he failed to return home after going out on his ocean ski on the Hawkesbury.

The blue and red ski he was using has since been recovered from Long Island.

Stephen is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 180cm tall with a slim build, has a bald head and short grey facial hair. He was last seen wearing long blue pants and a blue top.

Police and family hold concerns for his welfare as his disappearance is out of character.

Anyone who sees Stephen, or believes they know his whereabouts, is urged to contact Ku-Ring-Gai Police or Crime Stoppers.

Anyone with information about this incident is urged to contact Crime Stoppers: 1800 333 000 or https://nsw.crimestoppers.com.au. Information is treated in strict confidence. The public is reminded not to report information via NSW Police social media pages.
