Police are concerned for the welfare of 77-year-old Robert (Bob) Lucas, from Primrose Sands.
Mr Lucas, who answers to Bob, is about 172cm tall with a slim build and is believed to be travelling on foot.
Police are working to confirm when he was last seen, but understand it was in the Primrose Sands area within the last week.
Anyone who has seen Mr Lucas recently, or who has information about his whereabouts is asked to contact Sorell Police on 131 444.
