Police continue search for armed thieves in St Albans

Armed Crime Squad detectives continue to investigate an armed robbery outside a licensed premises in St Albans last year, Victoria Police say.

Police have been told a woman, who had just finished work at a McKenchnie Street venue, was carrying a large amount of cash and walking towards a nearby car park shortly after midnight on 17 December 2017.

The woman was approached by three masked men, armed with machetes, who made demands for the money she was carrying.

A large amount of cash and the woman’s handbag were stolen before the offenders fled on foot west along Andrea Street.

The three men are all described as tall with thin builds and were wearing dark clothing.

One of the masks worn is described as having white teeth pained on it.

The 47-year-old female employee wasn’t physically injured as a result of the incident.

The investigation is ongoing and anyone with any information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
