Police continue search for missing injured bushwalker near Launceston, TAS

Police Search and Rescue are this morning continuing their search for missing bushwalker Aj Aamed Rogzay, Tasmania Police say.

Police are seeking help in the search for an injured bush walker in the Launceston area.

34 year old AJ Ahmed Rogzay called Triple Zero last night to report he was injured while walking on a mountain near Launceston and needed help.

Unfortunately he didn’t know his location and his phone can’t be traced.

He told police he hitched a lift to the start of his walk.

The Westpac Rescue Helicopter will resume searching mountainous regions near Launceston this morning.

Police are appealing for anyone with any information on Aj’s whereabouts.
