Police continue to investigate Airport West shooting

Echo Taskforce detectives continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding a shooting in Airport West on Thursday 23 February, Victoria Police say.

Police have been told a man parked his vehicle on Louis Street and was walking towards the entrance of a gym on Rodd Road about 5.30pm when a black Audi SUV pulled up and a number of shots were fired.

The 31-year-old Hillside man received gunshot wounds to his lower body and was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The offenders then fled the scene and were last seen driving east along Rodd Road.
