Police continue to investigate Coburg hit-run

Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are continuing their appeal for information following a hit-run collision that left a teenage girl with life-threatening injuries in Coburg last night, Victoria Police say.

It is believed the 13-year-old girl was riding her bike when she was struck at the corner of Bell and Sussex streets just after 8pm on 5 November.

She was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Investigators have been told the driver of the vehicle stopped briefly at the scene before leaving the area.

Police have released an image of a vehicle similar to the one believed to be involved in the collision.

It has been described as a dark grey BMW E87 1 Series.

Investigators believe the vehicle may have damage to the passenger side, front windscreen, front bumper, external mirror and headlights.

Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers.
