Police continue to investigate Oakleigh South homicide

Homicide Squad detectives continue to investigate the death of a man in Oakleigh South this morning.

Emergency services were called to a Centre Road apartment following reports of an injured man on Sunday 6 December about 3am.

Ambulance paramedics treated the 40-year-old Footscray man at the scene, for a suspected gunshot wound but he died at the scene.

A 31-year-old Oakleigh South man, 49-year-old Cranbourne North man and a 34-year-old Footscray woman, home at the time of the incident, are currently assisting police with their enquiries.

State Emergency Service volunteers assisted police with an evidentiary line search nearby while police also cordoned off a vehicle in the vicinity as part of a secondary crime scene.
