Police door-knock in southern suburbs today, SA

Police will be making door-to-door inquiries in the Christies Beach and Christie Downs area this afternoon following the shooting of a woman driving her car on Dyson Rd last Saturday evening (16 July), according to SA Police.

As part of the continuing investigation into the incident, a team of police from the South Coast Local Service Area assisted by officers from Firearms Branch and State Tactical Response Group, will be making inquiries in the area from 1pm today.

A small calibre projectile was fired into a vehicle travelling along Dyson Rd, between Beach and Flaxmill Roads, about 6.40pm lodging in the shoulder of the motorist, who required medical treatment as a result.

Police are seeking the assistance of the public in relation to this matter and a will be setting up a forward command post on Dyson Rd, Christies Beach near where the incident occurred.
