Police extradite three following Breakwater death

Police have arrested and charged three people following the death of a 29-year-old Waurn Ponds woman who was located in Breakwater on Tuesday 4 December, Victoria Police say.

Acting on information from Victoria Police, New South Wales Police’s Homicide Squad, assisted by their Tactical Operations Unit, arrested the trio, two men and a woman, in Greystanes about 3.45pm yesterday afternoon.

They were taken to Granville Police Station, where the Victorian warrants were executed.

A 31-year-old man of no fixed address is expected to be charged with one count of murder.

A 31-year-old Bell Park woman and a 34-year-old man from Colac are expected to be charged with accessory to murder after the fact.

All three were presented directly to Fairfield Magistrates’ Court this morning for extradition applications.

Homicide Squad detectives are in New South Wales as the investigation continues.
