An elderly man reported missing from Surry Hills yesterday, has been found safe.
Officers from Surry Hills Police Area Command began searching for the 88-year-old man after he was last seen leaving his home early yesterday (Sunday 13 June 2021), and made a public appeal for assistance.
Police patrolling the Moore Park area found the man early this morning (Monday 14 June 2021); he was cold but otherwise unharmed.
Paramedics were called Surry Hills Police Station to check the man over as a precaution, before he was reunited with his family.
Police thank the media and the local community for their efforts to find the man.
