Police Hunt Clues in Tennant Creek Car Theft 16 June

The Northern Territory Police Force is calling for information in relation to a stolen motor vehicle that was driving dangerously in Tennant Creek on the weekend.

Around 11:15pm on Saturday 14 June, the Joint Emergency Services Communication Centre received reports of a suspected stolen motor vehicle driving dangerously and at high speeds throughout Tennant Creek. At one point the vehicle allegedly nearly collided with pedestrians, however no injuries were reported.

The white Toyota Hilux was later confirmed as stolen by an unknown number of offenders from a business on Patterson Street.

Police responded and deployed tyre deflation devices, however the Hilux evaded them. It was later located abandoned and seized for forensics, and the offenders remain outstanding.
