Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward after a girl was hit and ridden on by a dirt bike at a park in Rosemeadow yesterday.
About 5.45pm (Thursday 10 July 2025), emergency services were called to a park on Copperfield Drive, Rosemeadow, after reports a child was struck by a dirt bike.
Police have been told an unknown rider was riding what is believed to be an unregistered dirt bike across the sporting field, when the rider rode down a hill and struck the girl, riding over her head and chest.
The rider failed to stop and rode from the scene; however, witnesses went to the aid of the girl.
The nine-year-old girl was treated for facial injuries at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics, before she was taken to Westmead Children's Hospital in a serious condition.
Officers from Campbelltown Police Area Command attended and established a crime scene.
Investigators from the Crash Investigation Unit will investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
