Police hunt focused north of Adelaide

The police search for a man and a woman wanted in connection with a murder inquiry has continued today, with a focus north of Adelaide.

Investigators yesterday named the couple wanted on warrant in relation to the murder of Shaun Russell who was found critically injured at Hackham West at the weekend.

The body of Mr Russell was located just after 3.30pm on Saturday in a playground in a reserve off Corinth/Honeypot roads.

A warrant for the arrest of Robert Joseph Patard, 42, and Jessica Elizabeth Gianoni (AKA MacIntosh), 35, to face a murder charge was issued by the Adelaide Magistrates Court late Monday afternoon.

Police said today that they believe the wanted pair are still together after receiving information from a member of the public that they were sighted in a blue-coloured 2005 Commodore sedan (SA registration S605ANP) travelling north along Port Wakefield Road near Globe Derby Park.

Investigators know that both suspects are also known to frequent towns in the Yorke Peninsula area and have urged the community to call Triple Zero (000) if they are sighted.

Gianoni and Patard are urged to hand themselves in to police.

The wanted man is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 170cm tall, weighing 70kg, with a bald head and fair complexion. The woman is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 172cm tall, weighing about 60kg, with long dyed brown hair.

Police believe the 2005 Commodore could also be towing a grey-coloured caravan with SA registration number TWB196.

On Sunday police asked that anyone who may have seen a couple arguing on Honeypot Road – or have dashcam of this – to come forward by calling Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

Investigators would like to thank the members of the public who have already done so, but urge anyone else who has not yet spoken to police to come forward. There have been 57 calls or reports to Crime Stoppers to date.

Anyone who may have information that can assist police is asked to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or to report online at www.crimestopperssa.com.au
