Eastern Beaches Detectives are appealing for information following an aggravated break and enter in Sydney's east earlier this week.
About 9.30am on Wednesday 22 April 2026, two unknown men entered a home on Fitzgerald Avenue, Maroubra, and requested to use the toilet before assaulting the occupant – a 32-year-old man – and ransacking the home stealing cash and personal items.
The occupant attempted to escape, however was stopped by the men.
The man sustained minor facial injuries and attended Maroubra Police Station to report the incident.
A crime scene was established at the home and forensically examined by specialist officers.
As investigations continue, police have released CCTV footage of a man they believe may be able to assist with their inquiries.
The man is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 180cm tall, with a black moustache and beard.
He is depicted wearing a blue 'Nike' tracksuit, a white shirt underneath, white sneakers and a 'The North Face' cross-body bag.
