Police Hunt Tips in Alice Springs Robbery

The Northern Territory Police Force are calling for information in relation to an aggravated unlawful entry that occurred around midday in Alice Springs.

Around 11:50am, police received a report of a robbery on Parke Crescent, The Gap. It is alleged that a woman, aged in her 50's, briefly exited her residence when an unknown man pushed her to the ground and forced his way inside while armed with a knife and slingshot.

The offender allegedly stole the keys to the woman's vehicle, a silver Toyota CHR, before fleeing the scene in the vehicle.

Officers from Strike Force Viper attended, and the woman did not require medical treatment for her injuries.

The offender is described as a man of Aboriginal appearance, aged 18 to 25 years old, short hair, wearing black jeans and a black puffer jacket with a red and white motive.
