Northern Territory Police are calling for information following an aggravated robbery of an 85-year-old man in Alice Springs yesterday afternoon.
About 2:30pm police received a report that a man had been assaulted and robbed at his Sadadeen home.
The victim had just returned home from shopping when an unknown female youth followed him inside his residence.
The offender allegedly struck the man on the head with a rock, overpowered him, and stole a quantity of cash and car and house keys before fleeing the scene on foot.
The man sustained lacerations to his head and forearm and was transported to Alice Springs Hospital by St John Ambulance for treatment.
The victim's vehicle was not taken.
