The Northern Territory Police Force is calling for information in relation to an aggravated robbery that occurred in Alice Springs yesterday.
Around 5:30pm, the Joint Emergency Services Communication Centre received a report of an aggravated robbery at the reception of a unit complex in Percy Court. It is alleged two male youth offenders, both armed with edged weapons, entered the reception office and threatened a 39-year-old male.
One of the offenders allegedly held an edged weapon to the victim's head and demanded car keys. The offenders subsequently stole cash and the victim's car key, fleeing the scene in his blue Holden Cruze hatchback.
One of the offenders is believed to be known to the victim, who did not suffer any injuries as a result of the incident.
Police responded and commenced investigations. The stolen Holden was recovered by police south of Tennant Creek this morning.
It alleged the offenders have since stolen a second vehicle in Tennant Creek, a black Nissan Navara with QLD registration 661 FI8. The vehicle was last sighted travelling north on the Stuart Highway and remains outstanding at this time.
