Police are appealing for information following a malicious damage incident in the Sydney CBD.
About 12.20pm yesterday (Thursday 4 September 2025), two unknown men were seen to spray a substance onto the walls and steps of the Anzac Memorial located in Hyde Park, Elizabeth Street, Sydney.
One man was seen to spray the substance onto the eastern walls and northern steps of the Memorial.
The other man was seen to spray a substance onto the southern steps of the Memorial.
Shortly after, both men were seen to leave the Anzac Memorial and walk together in a northern direction through Hyde Park.
Officers from Sydney City Police Area Command have commenced an investigation into the incident and have released images and CCTV vision of two men who might be able to assist with inquiries.
The first man is described as being Caucasian appearance, about 50-60 years old, with a large build and black and grey hair.
He was seen wearing black sunglasses, a red and black check long sleeve shirt with a blue striped shirt underneath, light coloured shorts, black boots with black socks and carrying a red shopping bag cart.
The second man is described as being Caucasian, about 50-60 years old, with a solid build and shaved head.
He was seen wearing a dark blue button up collared shirt, dark jeans and black sneakers with white trim and was carrying a brown and black man bag.
