Police investigate robbery at North Nowra

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was robbed at North Nowra last night.

Just before 8pm Tuesday 28, a 21-year-old man walked out of the public toilets near the underpass of the Nowra Bridge, at the intersection of Illaroo Road and the Princes Highway, when he was hit from behind.

He fell to the ground and two men approached him. One man threatened him with a knife and demanded his wallet.

The men stole cash before running across Illaroo Road towards the Princes Highway.

The injured man called a family member who took him to Shoalhaven Hospital for treatment to swelling on the side of his face.

Police were contacted and officers from Shoalhaven Local Area Command commenced an investigation.

Officers would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident or has information that may assist with their inquiries are urged to call Nowra Police Station or Crime Stoppers.

One of the men was described as being of Caucasian appearance, aged in his late 20s, of solid build and wearing a grey hooded jumper, dark tracksuit pants with a white logo on the front and sneakers.
