Police investigate after fatal three-vehicle crash near Auburn

A man has died following a three-vehicle crash near Auburn this morning.

Just before 9.40am today (Tuesday 30 March 2021), emergency services were called to Park Road, near Jenkins Street, Regents Park, following reports of a three-vehicle crash – involving a Mercedes, Holden and Toyota Camry.

Despite the efforts of emergency services, the male driver of the Mercedes died at the scene. He is yet to be formally identified.

The male driver of the Toyota Camry was treated for serious injuries, before being transported to Auburn Hospital.

The male driver of the Holden was uninjured and taken to hospital for mandatory blood and urine testing.

Officers from Auburn Police Area Command remain at the scene and have commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Multiple parked cars also sustained damage during the incident.

Road closures are currently in place at Commercial Drive and Princes Road East. Motorists are urged to avoid the area and check www.livetraffic.com.
