Police investigate after man shot at Bankstown

An investigation is underway after a man was shot in Sydney's south-west yesterday.

About 9.45pm (Monday 2 March 2020), a 21-year-old man presented to Bankstown Hospital suffering gunshot wounds to his legs.

The man is in a stable condition undergoing treatment.

Officers from Bankstown Police Area Command were notified and attended the hospital to commence an investigation.

Following inquiries, a vehicle was located on Jacob Street, Bankstown, and a crime scene was established. The vehicle was seized for forensic examination.

As detectives continue their investigation, anyone with information or dashcam footage from the area surrounding Bankstown Hospital or Jacob Street, are urged to contact Bankstown Police Station.
