Police investigate after man shot - Tregear

Police are investigating after a man was shot in the arm in his western Sydney home last night.

About 11.40pm (Thursday 18 July 2019), emergency services were called to a house on Kista Dan Avenue, Tregear, following reports a man had been shot.

Police have been told the resident, a 31-year-old man, answered a knock at the front door, and two unknown men entered the home.

The three men became involved in a verbal argument, before the resident was shot once in the arm.

Two men fled the scene in what is believed to be a silver sedan, and are both described as being of Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander appearance, of medium build and aged in their 30s.

The resident was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Westmead Hospital in a stable condition.

Officers from Mount Druitt Police Area Command established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
