Police investigate after man stabbed - Pyrmont 4 April

Police are investigating after a man was allegedly stabbed at Pyrmont overnight.

About 12.05am, emergency services were called to a wharf on Pirrama Road, Pyrmont, following reports a man had been injured during an alleged brawl.

Officers attached to Sydney City Police Area Command attended and found an 18-year-old man with stab wounds to his buttocks.

Police were told the alleged brawl occurred between two large groups, but most of the people involved had left the scene before officers arrived.

NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the injured man at the scene, before he was taken to St Vincent's Hospital in a stable condition.

Officers established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

As inquiries continue, police are appealing for public assistance to identify a man who may be able to assist with their ongoing investigations.

The man is described as being of Mediterranean/Middle Eastern appearance and aged in his mid-20s. He was wearing a black jacket.
