Police investigate after pedestrian killed - Point Frederick

Police are investigating a fatal crash in the Gosford area.

About 7.35pm (Thursday 25 July 2019), emergency services were called to the Central Coast Highway, Point Frederick, after reports of a pedestrian collision.

An Audi travelling in an easterly direction had collided with a 61-year-old male pedestrian.

The man was taken to Gosford Hospital where he later died.

The driver of the Audi, a 63-year-old man, was uninjured. He was taken to Gosford Hospital for mandatory blood and urine tests.

A crime scene has been established at the location which will be forensically examined. Local traffic diversions are in place.

A report will be prepared for the Coroner, inquiries continue.
