Police investigate aggravated burglary - Melton South

Brimbank Crime Investigation Unit detectives are investigating an aggravated burglary in Melton South last month (11 September), Victoria Police say.

It is believed two unknown offenders have forced entry to a Corbet Street home about 3.30am, allegedly armed with a weapon.

Once inside, the offenders were confronted by two of the residents, resulting in them fleeing the scene.

The two male residents, aged 20 and 22, pursued the offenders down the street and sighted a third offender allegedly acting as a look out.

The third offender is described as being a male, aged in his 20s, Caucasian, thin build and approximately 170cms tall.

It was also reported the man had distinctive tattoos on the right jawline and possibly above his left eye in a script writing style.

Investigators have released a composite image of a man they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.

An image has also been released that may be similar to the weapon used in this incident.

Anyone who has information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
