Police investigate aggravated burglary on senior citizen in Morwell

Latrobe Valley Crime Investigation Unit is appealing for public assistance to help identify an offender following a burglary on a Morwell home last week, Victoria Police say.

It is believed the female burglar broke into the Gillie Street home on the 17th of November about 7.15am.

The victim, a 100-year-old woman confronted the burglar who put her finger to her lips indicating to the victim to keep quiet.

The burglar then left the house via the front door stealing the victim’s house keys and wallet containing a sum of money and personal cards.

Police have released a computer-generated image of a woman who they believe can assist with their enquiries.

The woman is perceived to be of Caucasian appearance, aged in her early 40s, approximately 160cm tall with dark hair.

Anyone who recognises this woman or has information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
