Police investigate armed robbery at Eagleby

Police are investigating the armed robbery of a tavern at Eagleby in the early hours of this morning.

Around 3.20am two males, one armed with a handgun and the other with a hammer, entered the Fryar Road business and threatened staff.

One staff member was directed to open a cash machine.

The males obtained money before leaving the scene in a silver Holden Cruze.

No one was physically injured in the incident.

The male holding the gun is described as having a tanned complexion and wearing green camouflage pants, a blue grey coloured long sleeved jumper and had a blue cloth item wrapped around head.

Second man is described as tanned complexion wearing black pants, white hoody jumper and white sneakers.

Police are appealing to the community for any dash cam vision that may have been captured in the area between 2am and 4am this morning.

Investigations are ongoing.
