Police investigate armed robbery at Annerley

Police are seeking information in relation to an armed robbery at an Annerley hotel last week.

Just after 3am last Thursday, March 19, a man entered the hotel armed with an axe, approached a security officer and demanded money.

The man attempted to gain access to an atm before stealing cash from a register.

He then left the premises onto Ipswich Road towards Franklin Street.

The man is described as Caucasian in appearance, around 180cm tall and of a proportionate build.

He was wearing dark coloured pants, a black hooded jumper with a black face covering.

No one was physically injured during the incident.

Police wish to speak to another male who was seen at the hotel earlier in the evening, as he may be able to assist police with their investigations.

Anyone who recognises the man or noticed anything suspicious along Ipswich Road around 3am should contact police.
