Police investigate armed robbery at chemist - Moorebank

An investigation is underway following an armed robbery at a chemist in Sydney's south-west yesterday.

About 8.15pm (Thursday 18 July 2019), two men wearing balaclavas entered a shop on Stockton Avenue, Moorebank, and threatened two staff members and a customer with knives, while demanding prescription medication.

The men fled the scene on foot with the medication, and were last seen heading north along Maddecks Avenue, Moorebank.

Both men are described as being of slim to medium build and about 175cm tall. They were last seen wearing black balaclavas, grey gloves, red and navy hoodies, with dark pants – one with white shoes, one with grey.

One man was carrying a black bag with a shoulder strap and grey handles.

No injuries were reported from the incident.

A crime scene was established by Liverpool City Police Area Command, which was examined by specialist forensic officers.

Detectives commenced an investigation and are appealing for anyone with information that may assist with their inquiries to come forward.
