Police investigate armed robbery at Cranbourne Park service station

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding an armed robbery in Cranbourne Park on Saturday 4 February, Victoria Police say.

Investigators have been told a man attended a service station near the intersection of High and Clarendon streets just before midnight.

The man, believed to be aged between 20 and 30, approached the store attendant and demanded cash from the till.

While making the demands, the man appeared to gesture to an unknown object under his jumper.

The staff member complied and the man left the store with an amount of money.

The man had an olive complexion and was wearing, black shorts, runners and a brown hoodie with a white pattern on the front.

He is believed to have a strong New Zealand accent.

Detectives have released images of a man they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.
