Police investigate armed robbery at Glen Waverley service station

Police are appealing for public assistance after a service station was robbed at Glen Waverley early this morning.

Police have been told a man and woman entered the store on Gallaghers Road about 5.30am.

One of the offenders produced a machete and threatened the attendant before making demands for cash.

The offenders stole the tray of the cash register and fled the scene in a white Toyota Camry sedan with stolen registration plates 1MT 7CL.

They were last seen travelling south on Gallaghers Road.

No one was injured.

The female offender is perceived to be Caucasian in appearance, aged in her 20s with long light brown hair and was wearing a blue hooded jumper.

The male offender was wearing sunglasses and a face mask with a blue hooded jumper and black pants.

Police are keen to speak to any witnesses or anyone in the area at the time of the incident.
