Police Investigate Armed Robbery At Gold Coast 6 November

Police are investigating two armed robberies on the Gold Coast last night, 5 November.

About 8.15pm, two armed offenders entered a business on Brisbane Road, Arundel before threatening a staff member and demanding cash.

The offenders fled on foot with an amount of cash.

The staff member, a woman in her 20s, was not physically injured.

At 11.03pm, the same offenders entered a business on Station Street, Nerang armed with the same weapons and threatened staff members before stealing an amount of cash.

The offenders attempted to flee in a black Holden Captiva along Station Street before striking an orange MG ZST and driving off.

No one was physically injured.

About 11.35pm, the Holden was located parked nearby and a 42-year-old man was taken into custody a short time later.

Investigations are ongoing.
