Police investigate armed robbery at Lowood

Ipswich detectives are asking for witnesses to help solve an armed robbery in Lowood.

About 6pm on Saturday May 22, a 47-year-old man was at his home in Park Street, when he heard a noise underneath the house.

He went downstairs and was confronted by four people, one who allegedly slashed him with a knife, causing a small cut to his chest, while another is alleged to have struck him over the head with a plank of wood.

The four then ran away, taking the man's wallet with them.

It is believed the offenders were juvenile Caucasian teenage boys, all wearing dark coloured hoodies and black gloves.

The man was taken to Ipswich Hospital where he received treatment for non-life-threatening injuries.

Detectives are urging anyone with further information or relevant CCTV to contact police.
