Police investigate armed robbery at Mansfield

Police have commenced an investigation following an armed robbery of a licensed premises at Marsfield this morning.

Around 2am, two men on a motorcycle have attended the Wecker Road premises, one armed with a knife.

One of the men approaches a cash register and steals money before both leave the premises on the motorcycle.

A silver utility is also noticed within the vicinity of the licensed premises while the robbery took place.

Investigators are appealing to anyone who may have seen a silver utility or motorcycle near Wecker Road and Luprena Street between 1am and 2:30am this morning, to contact police.

Investigations are continuing.
