Police investigate armed robbery at Nowra

Police are appealing for witnesses following an armed robbery at a restaurant near Nowra.

About 7.45pm yesterday (Wednesday 26 June 2019) a man has entered a restaurant in Bomaderry and demanded money from the cash register.

The man allegedly produced a knife and took an amount of money from the cash register, before exiting the restaurant and walking back to his vehicle through Waratah Park and Meroo Street.

The man was driving a dark coloured Holden Commodore and is described as being of Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander appearance, about 180cm tall, wearing a light-coloured hooded top, dark cap and dark pants at the time of the incident.

Police inquiries are continuing.
