Police are investigating after an armed robbery at a milk bar in Preston this morning, Victoria Police say.
Investigators have been told a man entered the store on Victoria Street just after 11am armed with a knife.
He then demanded cigarettes from the male attendant, before punching him in the head.
The offender then jumped the counter and took several packets of cigarettes before leaving.
The victim sustained a cut to the finger during the incident and the offender left the store in a southerly direction.
Detectives from Darebin Crime Investigation Unit are investigating and have released an image of a man they wish to speak to regarding the incident.
He is described as being in his late 20s, perceived to be of Caucasian appearance and with a slim build.
