Police investigate armed robbery at Southport 16 November

Detectives have released vision of a man who may be able to assist in the investigation of an armed robbery at a service station in Southport last month.

At approximately 1.30am on Thursday October 27, a man attended a service station along Ferry Road and approached the counter.

The man, believed to be armed with a knife, jumped over the counter and confronted an employee, demanding cash from two tills.

The employee complied before the man jumped back over the counter and fled the business on foot in an unknown direction.

He is described as 175 centimetres tall with an average build.

He was wearing grey trackpants, a black cap with a black hoodie pulled up over his head, along with orange/red tradie gloves and black socks.

Anyone who recognises the man or has further information is urged to contact police.
