Police have charged two people following an armed robbery at Underwood yesterday afternoon, May 6.
It will be alleged that around 2:45pm police were called to a Compton Road business following reports a man and woman had attempted to steal several items.
An altercation then took place between the two people and a security guard where it is alleged a knife was produced, before the two fled the scene in a white Toyota Camry.
Around 6.30pm, emergency services were called to Whiting Street, Labrador, following reports a black Audi and a white Toyota Camry were involved in a traffic crash.
Officers arrived on the scene a short time later and took a 26-year-old man and 24-year- old woman into custody.
The occupants of the Audi sustained minor injuries.
It will be further alleged that the Toyota was stolen from a Doolandella address on April 9.
A 24-year-old Banksia Beach woman has been charged with one count each of armed robbery, stealing, unlawful use of a motor vehicle, using vehicle for which a number plate attached given granted for another vehicle and drug driving.
A 26-year-old Southport man has been charged with one count of armed robbery.
Both have been remanded in custody and are scheduled to reappear at the Southport Magistrates on May 13.
Investigations are continuing.
