Police investigate armed robbery in Hurlstone Park

Police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred at a service station in Hurlstone Park over night, NSW Police said.

Shortly after midnight on Tuesday, two people, wearing balaclavas, entered a service station on Canterbury Road, one armed with a firearm.

The pair approached the counter and threatened the male employee, making demands for cash and cigarettes. The employee complied and handed over the property.

The pair ran from the store prior to the arrival of police.

A crime scene has been established and detectives from Ashfield are now conducting a full investigation.
