Police investigate Ascot Vale road rage incident

Flemington Police members are appealing for witnesses and dash camera footage after a man assaulted a man on 30 December, 2017, Victoria Police say.

The man was travelling east on Maribyrnong Rd when he struck the rear of a stationary Silver Honda Jazz at the intersection of Walter Street and Maribyrnong Road at about 3.30pm.

The man then approached the victim and, after an initial conversation, he allegedly assaulted the victim by punching, biting and throwing him against nearby vehicles.

The offender allegedly stole the victim’s phone before fleeing in his Blue Audi Hatch.

The man is described as bald with a sleeve tattoo on his left arm and tattoos on his lower back.

At the time of the incident he was wearing a gold chain, Rabbitohs NRL black shorts and a blue Deus t-shirt.

The victim, a 25-year-old Sunshine West man, received minor injuries.

Police have released an image of a man they believe may be able to assist with their enquires.
