Police Investigate Bairnsdale crash

Bairnsdale Highway Patrol are appealing for witnesses after a car crashed into a tree at Bairnsdale this afternoon, Victoria Police say.

Officers have been told that a Holden Commodore Ute was travelling westbound along Princes Highway when the driver lost control and crashed into a tree at about 2.15pm.

The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle, a 37 year old Bairnsdale man was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries.

Investigators are keen to speak with anyone that may have been in the area at the time or anyone who has dash cam footage.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers.
