Police investigate Broadmeadows road rage incident

Broadmeadows Crime Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for witnesses after a man allegedly punched a car in Broadmeadows on July 23, Victoria Police say.

A man was travelling south in a silver Mitsubishi Lancer on Pascoe Vale Road about 2:45pm when he stopped at traffic lights at the Tanderrum Way intersection.

When the lights turned green, he was slow to take off and the car behind him tooted.

He was tooted again by the same car, described as a black Mazda 3 Sedan, at the following intersection at Dimboola Road.

The man started to drive through the intersection, before breaking suddenly and almost causing a collision with the Mazda.

A man has then allegedly exited the Mazda from the passenger door and punched the Mitsubishi, causing damage.

The driver of the Mitsubishi drove forward, before putting his car in reverse and colliding with the Mazda.

He then drove off.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
