Police investigations are continuing into the suspicious death of a 23 year old North-West man following an incident in Ritchie Avenue, Burnie, in the early hours of this morning.
Police and emergency services were called to the scene in Ritchie Avenue, Downlands, about 3am after a man was critically injured following an alleged altercation.
Sadly, police can confirm that the man died in the North West Regional Hospital late this morning.

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the man's death and initial investigations indicate the parties were known to each other.
Four men and a woman remain in custody assisting police with their inquiries.
Police, including forensics, remain at the scene conducting investigations.
