Police investigate crash and carjacking - Arncliffe

An investigation is underway following reports of a carjacking after a crash in Sydney's south last night.

Police have been told that just before 12.30am (Saturday 14 September 2019), two cars – a Mazda and Range Rover – were involved in a collision in the M5 tunnel near the intersection of Marsh Street, Arncliffe.

While two male occupants from a Honda – which was not involved in the crash – were rendering assistance, five male occupants from the Mazda entered the Honda.

It's reported they threatened the driver of the Honda with a knife, before driving away towards Marsh Street.

No one was injured as a result of either incident.

Investigators are appealing for anyone who sees a black Honda Accord sedan with NSW registration 'EDB35X' to not approach the occupants, but to contact Triple Zero or Crime Stoppers.

Inquiries by officers from St George Police Area Command into the incidents are continuing.

Anyone with information about this incident is urged to contact Crime Stoppers: 1800 333 000 or https://nsw.crimestoppers.com.au. Information is treated in strict confidence.
