Police investigate crash in Navaree

Police and emergency services responded to reports of a single vehicle crash in Navarre last night (29 June).

It is believed the vehicle was travelling north-west on Barkly-Navarre Road when the driver lost control and crashed into a tree about 9.40pm.

The vehicle then rolled and came to rest in a nearby paddock.

The driver of the vehicle, a 28-year-old Kurunjang man was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

His two passengers, both 18-year-old men from Stawell we also injured as a result of the crash.

One of the men was airlifted to hospital with critical injuries and the second man was taken to a local hospital where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries.

The driver has since been arrested and is currently assisting police with their enquiries.

A crime scene has been established and detectives from Major Collision Investigation Unit will attend the scene this morning.
