Police investigate credit card theft

Cardinia Crime Investigation Unit detectives are investigating the theft of a credit card from a car on Snow Gum Court in Pakenham on 5 January, 2016, Victoria Police say.

Investigators have been told a man attempted to use the card to purchase cigarettes at a service station on Princes Way, Drouin two days later at 6.30am

The male was driving a blue Mazda sedan allegedly stolen from Victoria Place in Pakenham, also on 5 January.

Police have recovered this vehicle.

Detectives have released an image of a man they believe may be able to assist with their investigation.

The man is perceived to be Aboriginal in appearance, aged in his 20’s, with a medium build and dark hair.

He was wearing a dark hoodie, black Hurley t-shirt and dark pants.
