Police investigate damage to military graves at Nowra

Police are appealing for witnesses after military graves were damaged at a cemetery on the state's South Coast.

Between Wednesday (11 September 2019) and Monday (16 September 2019), five headstones within the military section of Nowra Cemetery were destroyed, as well as a wall containing ashes.

The matter was reported to South Coast Police District yesterday (Monday 16 September 2019).

Police are appealing for anyone who may have seen anyone suspicious in or around the cemetery to contact Nowra Police Station on (02) 4421 9699.

Police inquiries are continuing.
