Police investigate Dandenong Ram Raid

Greater Dandenong Crime Investigation Unit detectives are investigating a commercial burglary in Dandenong this month.

It's believed two males have arrived in a silver VT Commodore to the Lonsdale Street business about 3.30am on 6 May.

The males have attempted to rip the front door off after tying them up with a yellow truck strap but were unsuccessful and left the scene.

They returned a short time later in the same vehicle and used a sledgehammer and hammer and gained entry.

A safe was stolen from a store room which contained cash before they left the scene.

Both males were wearing all black clothing, the driver had a black jacket with three white stripes on the arms and a star in the middle of the back.

The Commodore had a spoiler and the front driver's side wheel was different to the rest.

Investigators have released images of the vehicle and the males in the hope someone may recognise them.

Anyone who may have sighted the vehicle or has information, or relevant dash cam footage, is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or make a confidential report at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au
