Police investigate Daylesford theft and deceptions

Moorabool Crime Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for public assistance to help identify an offender following a theft in Daylesford last month.

The theft occurred at a Vincent Street art gallery when an unknown person stole a bank card and mobile phone from a staff member on Sunday 26th May 2019.

The card was used to make several fraudulent purchases, including alcohol from a liquor outlet in Castlemaine.

Investigators have obtained images and CCTV footage of a female who they believe can assist with their enquiries.

She is perceived as Caucasian in appearance and aged about 30-40 years old with curly light brown hair.
