Police investigate death of man in Dandenong South

Homicide Squad detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a man in Dandenong South last night.

Police were called to a caravan park on South Gippsland Highway following reports of an altercation between several people about 10pm.

A man, who is yet to be formally identified, was located with life-threatening stab wounds and sadly died at the scene.

A 25-year-old man was taken to hospital under police guard for a non-life-threatening injury.

A 21-year-old man and a 32-year-old woman were taken to hospital with minor injuries.

Police have established a crime scene while they investigate the circumstances surrounding the man's death.

Detectives believe the parties involved are known to each other.
